Las Vegas invites you to join Master Alphabetician Chank Diesel to
create our very own font, which will be called “Nuclear Vegas.” You’ll
delve deep into the type designer’s mind and hear how Chank smashes
atomic particles of inspiration and dedication to come up with
explosively expressive new letter forms. Following his presentation,
it’s experimentation time as attendees take turns in the lab
improvising their own letter forms with supplies provided. You can see
a video of similar workshops at http://www.youtube.com/user/chankfonts.
Better living through science!
After
the workshop, Chank will digitize the letter forms into the Nuclear
Vegas font that will be available only to attendees for the first 3
months following its release. After that, it will become a free
download from Chank’s website. By attending, you could also win a copy
of Adobe Font Folio Education Essentials from Adobe Systems, containing
500 fonts or appear in Chank’s video that will be shot during this
event. Chank will also be signing limited editions posters during the
workshop.

Before
the event and during intermission, you can be inspired by the winners
of Mohawk Show 9. Mohawk received entries from in-house and independent
design firms across the globe and the winners wil be on display for
your inspirational enjoyment.
